Boy Loves Girl
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
Boy Loves Girl is unlike any other side-scrolling game I’ve played. I was slow to get into this game because the learning curve was steeper than I expected, but I eventually became addicted. To start off with, this game is kind ofstrange. You play as a boy holding a moon tied to a string, and after a girl runs past you, you start chasing her. And keep chasing her, despite her apparent lack of interest in you. Along the way, you have to swipe your moon above and below clouds out to get you until you catch up with your target. When you reach the girl at the end of the first level, she takes advantage of your infatuation and demands that you bring her a gazelle.

College TA
Available on iPhone & iPod Touch
At first I thought College TA was a app for teaching assistants (what can I say..in my part of the world that's what TA stands for). Wrong! It's actually a great student assistant. College TA takes all the chaos of juggling classes/work/life and organizes it into a slightly unconventional package.

At first glance, it wasn't entirely obvious to me where all the features of this app was hiding. Unlike other college apps, it doesn't open to show your weekly calendar or task list. Instead it's main page is divided into sections such as: registrar's office, locker room, Advisor's guide, your twitter account, study tunes etc. You can easily see any tasks you have scheduled for the day in a large highlighted blue section. This unusual layout may not be to everyone's tastes but I rather liked the cartoonish theme once I got used to how the app was set up.
The registrar's office is the heart of this app. It...

Free Apps Watcher
Free Apps Watcher (free) by Chaotic Kingdoms
Available on iPhone only
I love a good deal. There's something so satisfying about knowing you didn't pay full price, especially when it comes to apps. Unfortunately, it can take a lot of effort to snag a good bargain. I mean who has the time to wade through the endless iTunes offerings to find the few that are on sale? Free App Watcher is the answer to this problem. It provides a daily list of apps that are either totally free or heavily discounted. The layout is very straight forward, apps are organized by iTunes categories (utilities, games, etc), popular picks and a “featured” section.

mSecure – Password Manager
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
Without a password manager on my iPhone I'd probably be perched up in a bell tower with a rifle. Yeah, forgetting login information drives me THAT crazy, and with literally dozens of logins to remember it's pretty much mandatory that I have a password manager installed. I honestly don't know how people live without this kind of thing.
Back in the day I was using Memengo's Wallet Pro, and I thought it was awesome. It wasn't long before I dropped Memengo for 1Password Pro because I loved their two-layer security thing, but something about it has always felt a little incomplete.

Deal or No Thanks
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
Ahh yes, the time honored tradition of the blatant game show ripoff... I love it! Obviously modeled after Deal or No Deal, Deal or No Thanks puts you in the hot seat, except in this version Howie Mandel isn't there to annoy you to death with his need to state the obvious every five seconds.
For those unfamiliar, here's how the game goes: You pick a briefcase that contains one of the dollar amounts shown in yellow, and then you keep opening new briefcases that tell you the amounts you WON'T win. The "banker" periodically makes offers to "buy" your briefcase based on the remaining dollar amounts, and depending on the size of your cojones you could walk away with a fortune or with just enough to make next month's car payment. If you say no to all of the Banker's offers, you win the dollar amount in the case you chose at the beginning of the game which, hopefully, is more than the Banker was willing to give. It's a guessing game based on the process of elimination.
