NAIROBI (IBTimes.com) - Addis Ababa African trade ministers are due to hold an extraordinary session here next Tuesday to adopt a common stand on the way forward regarding the Doha Round of global trade negotiations under the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

Meeting under the umbrella of the African Union (AU) Commission, the ministers will also make a declaration on the ongoing talks about the proposed Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) between the world's developing regions and the European Union countries.

The Commission said Wednesday that leading personalities, including WTO Director General Pascal Lamy as well as representatives of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), the European Union, Brazil, India and Japan will attend the session. A preparatory consultation of experts, senior officials and ambassadors will be held at the AU headquarters on 15 January 2006 ahead of the ministerial gathering
