Foreign Tourists Visiting Zambia up by 21 Percent |

LUSAKA (IBTimes.com) - Over 600,000 tourists visited Zambia last year, representing a 21 percent increase over that of 2004, according to the Zambia National Tourist Board (ZNTB).
Lumpa was speaking at the launch of the Visit Zambia 2006 campaign at Chishimba falls in Kasama at the weekend.
ZNTB Board Chairman Errol Hickey urged local investors to invest in infrastructure development at Chishimba Falls. He said there is need to build camp sites and ablution blocks at the site.
The tourism sector of Zambia posted a robust growth 12.1 percent compared with 6.4 percent in 2004.
