ACCRA (IBTimes.com) - HEWLETT Packard (HP), manufacturers of computers and accessories, has introduced a new computer integrated system onto the West African market which will improve how customers buy, manage and use their computing resources.

The new HP blade system, called the c-Class portfolio, harnesses the various best technologies across various HP innovations, such as the NonStop servers and HP printers, which hold the reputation as the best in the industry.

The new range of products include energy efficient, modular, standards-based systems and services, unified infrastructure management with proactive, built-in security and virtualised information technology (IT) pools with automated IT resource deployment.

The HP Enterprise Business Manager, West Africa, Mr Chukwuma Okpaka, said by implementing the simple HP BladeSystem c-Class design, customers could dramatically reduce information technology (IT) costs and the barriers to change presented by racked, stacked and wired data centres.

The new HP c-Class portfolio sets the industry agenda to “blade everything” by pre-integrating the various IT components of networking, power and cooling and management.

He urged customers to hook up to the latest technology because it would enhance the performance of their businesses.

In line with the new CPU technology introduced by Intel, HP has also unveiled a new generation of ProLiant portfolio developed for today’s demanding workloads.

According to Dr Lloyd Atabansi of the HP West African Head Office in Nigeria, many companies had tried reducing IT expenses through labour arbitrage or offshoring, saying, “While this may help reduce costs, it doesn’t really address the root cause of the problem.”

“HP offers real relief to the ballooning cost of basic IT operation and management and can help companies to dramatically change the way they build and operate their IT infrastructure,” Dr Atabansi stated.
