LONDON (Reuters) - British sweets and soft drinks firm Cadbury Schweppes Plc said on Friday that South African competition authorities have approved its sale of Bromor Foods to Tiger Brands Ltd.

The deal involving Bromor, which sells non-carbonated soft drinks such as Oros and Energade, is expected to be completed on August 1, Cadbury said.

Cadbury announced on April 4 it had agreed to sell the business to Tiger Brands, a food and pharmaceuticals group, for 1.16 billion rand in cash.
